Devon traveled South America for two months: He trekked to the Lost City in Colombia, surfed on the salt flats of the Atacama Dessert, climbed mountains in San Carlos de Bariloche, and explored the wineries of Mendoza.
Devon backpacked in the Canyonlands of Utah for 4 days. Water was scarce causing Devon to pack in 5 gallons. He was able to find small pools of water near his campground in Elephant Canyon to purify. Chesler Park and Druid Arch were just a few of the major attractions during Devon’s visit to the park.
Devon hiked to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite guided by only the moonlight and headlamps. Devon had put in a 70 hour week at work before leaving in the middle of the night to make it to the top in time to watch the sunrise. The round trip was 16 miles long.
